NAT has welcomed the Health Protection Agency’s final report published today on expanding HIV testing in England.  The report confirms for the first time that routine ‘opt-out’ HIV testing is “feasible, acceptable and effective” in a wide range of healthcare and community settings.

NAT today launches a new report, ‘HIV Testing Action Plan – to reduce late HIV diagnosis in the UK’, outlining steps to increase HIV testing at a time of great change and financial pressure within the NHS.

NAT is delighted to announce they are teaming up with Gaydar.co.uk for World Pride on Saturday 7 July with the message ‘Take Pride, Get Tested’.  NAT and Gaydar will celebrate equality and diversity whilst encouraging the gay community to be proactive in looking after themselves and their health by getting tested regularly for HIV.
