"They saw the medication and started to make assumptions."

I am an African woman in my 50s. I was diagnosed in 2006. I left my job when they realised that I had HIV. I used to take time off work. My boss asked me about it. Somehow somebody sneaked in my desk drawer and saw the medication I was taking and from there they just started to make assumptions: "Oh, so you're taking more time off, you can't concentrate on your work"

At the end of the day I was made redundant because of that. When they were making me redundant, they said my position no longer existed, but I definitely knew they were handing over my job to somebody else.
