"I'm really in a poor state and now with the winter coming, I don't know what to do."

I became 'a destitute'... I have no visa to be in the UK in my own right, so I'm bound to go back to my country... I've made an application under article A, which is human rights and family life... My solicitor told social services to reassess me. He explained to them that they need to help me because I was working in the UK for the past eight years and was contributing to the government and because of my situation and my health, that I must be supported.

So the social services called me again a couple of months ago. When they called me for reassessment they questioned me about what I wanted, you know, so many questions: how I get my health, how I get my clothing. Ok, I say, well clothing I get at George House Trust: there are some donors that bring clothing there. Sometimes I go to Black Health Agency: they also donate clothes. And Body Positive as well: I get some food from them. So after that assessment, they became quiet.

The lawyer then wrote to me and asked whether I am receiving help from social services and if not to let him know. So I called him and told him that I wasn't receiving anything, and I'm really in a poor state and now with the winter coming, I don't know what to do... So that is how things stand now. I am still waiting—I have no money and sometimes I can go to the Black Health Agency. They can apply for money for me. They call it crisis money.
