HIV in the UK: video guides for migrants

Our research into HIV and migration found that migrants and asylum seekers in the UK face marginalisation and barriers to accessing the healthcare they need. In 2019, 62% of the new HIV diagnoses in the UK were among people born abroad. Worryingly, 51% of people are diagnosed with HIV late, making it more likely that they will become seriously ill or pass on the virus. Here you can find five video guides in different languages explaining entitlement to HIV testing, treatment and care for people born abroad.

The videos are available in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Kiswahili and Ukrainian.
