On Wednesday evening NAT held their annual fundraising event ‘Spring Awakening’ at The Sackler Hall, Museum of London. The event, this year themed ‘spring sparkles’, was a glittering evening of champagne, canapés, and entertainment – and a fantastic £38,000 was raised to support NAT’s vital policy and campaigning work. 

NAT also announced the launch of their brand new ‘NAT Champions’ scheme, to help NAT continue to champion the rights of people living with HIV.  We were delighted that 12 individuals signed up as Champions on the night, including Alan Cumming, Dr Christian Jessen and Josh Rafter. 
 
Deborah Jack, Chief Executive of NAT (National AIDS Trust), comments:
 
‘As the financial climate has become increasingly tougher, support from individuals who really care about HIV is more important to NAT than ever before. Our Spring Awakening event is one of the most important opportunities for NAT to thank our supporters and raise vital funds. But we still need your support throughout the year and one of the best ways you can help us is by becoming an NAT Champion. In becoming a Champion you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing you’re providing valuable support to a small charity that makes a big difference – by speaking out for people living with HIV and influencing the decisions that impact on their lives.'

'NAT really is one of my favourite charities and one of the most effective that I've dealt with. Sadly, tackling HIV in the UK is still a very necessary cause and very worthy of our support. NAT's work is crucial and their new Champions scheme is an important way of getting more funds to help people with HIV. I am delighted to be NAT's first Champion, and if you join the Champions scheme you will know that you're really contributing on the frontline to the amazing work NAT is doing.'
