Angels in America Charity Gala Performance

Angels-in-America-poster-image

A charity gala performance of Angels in America, in aid of the National AIDS Trust and hosted by Alan Cumming, took place at the Lyric Hammersmith on Wednesday 4 July.

This superb evening raised vital funds that will support the National AIDS Trust's work to prevent the spread of HIV, encourage early diagnosis, ensure people living with HIV have access to treatment and care, and eradicate HIV-related stigma and discrimination.

The National AIDS Trust was delighted to work in partnership with the Headlong Theatre on this celebration of one of the defining works of twentieth century drama, which so brilliantly conveys the experiences of individuals affected by HIV and AIDS in 1980s New York.

Deborah Jack, Chief Executive of the National AIDS Trust, comments:

"The National AIDS Trust would like to thank everyone who made this evening such a success and who helped to raise such a fantastic sum to support our work. We would particularly like to thank Gaydar, our champagne reception sponsor, and Alan Cumming, for giving up his time to host our gala performance."

Special thanks also go to all of our prize donors, who helped to make the auction and raffle such a success, to all of the staff of Headlong Theatre, to the team at London Calling Events, to all of the staff and volunteers who helped to pull off the event and finally to our 'Gala Angels':
