How to make a will
There are four steps to making a Will:
Value your assets
Start off the process by listing everything you own.
Decide on your beneficiaries
Write down the names and addresses of people and/or charities you want your assets to go to.
Choose your executors
These are the people you choose to ensure that your wishes are carried out after your death.
Choose a solicitor
As a Will is a legal document we strongly recommend that you use a solicitor. If you don't have a solicitor you can find them in the Telephone Directory or contact STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).
Alternatively, we can put you in touch with Legal Services UK if you fill out the form on the 'Leave a legacy' page.
